Getting a tattoo

It is recommended to moisturize the skin on the tattoo area at least a few days before the appointment.

Do not drink alcohol on the previous or the tattoo day.

Eat well before coming and take some snacks/lunch with you. There is a fridge and a microwave at the studio. Also coffee and tea is served.

Put on comfortable clothes. Keep in mind that the ink sometimes might get on to the clothes so don’t wear your best outfit.

Charging your phone or tablet is possible at the studio, but take your own charger just in case.

There is free parking space outside the studio and coming with public transport is also possible.

Tattoo after care:

After the session the tattoo is washed, greased and covered with plastic.

Remove the bandage after a few hours (or sooner, if your tattoo artist recommends it). Wash your hands before taking off the bandage.

Gently wash the tattoo with soap (antibacterial if available) and water, and pat dry with a clean paper towel.

Apply a layer of tattoo cream or Bepanthen, but don’t put on another bandage.

The next two weeks carefully wash your tattoo area two times a day and gently pat it dry.

The tattoo might be sore and swollen for a few days, this is completely normal. You might get a fever after a long tattoo session. You can take pain killer for that.

For two weeks avoid swimming, sauna, hard workouts and straight sunlight on the tattoo.

Don’t scratch even if it’s itchy. It might get inflammation or the ink can get off.
