About the artist
“Milla Sipola (1992) currently lives in Helsinki and has made a long career as a tattoo artist. The last few years she’s been developing her recognizable style as paintings on to the canvas as well as street art on the walls. The unique art style of Sipola combines abstract elements and surrealism with bold colors and her paintings are definitely inspired with both street and tattoo art.”
Painting is like playing to me; I paint intuitively and airily. I want to inspire and show that life is mostly fun and you don’t have to take it so seriously. Bright colors, peculiar creatures and partly dark ambience mirrors life as a whole. My art is open to interpretation and the viewer can see what resonates with them.
